Grief takes us over in many forms. It may become part of your story suddenly or slowly, a lightning strike or an iceberg melting over time. Whatever part of your grief journey has brought you here has delivered you to a safe space.
You may be struggling with compound grief, first-time grief, debilitating grief, or you may not even know you are grieving at all. But whatever you are feeling is part of the story of “you” now, and the hope is that with some support, you will learn how to live fully while grieving. Maybe your grief story will help someone else?
We are guaranteed no set time on this earth, and neither are our loved ones. As this realization sinks in, we must learn our new identities and learn to tell our story as it was impacted by those we’ve lost. We are forever changed, a bit damaged, but blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted (Matthew 5:4). I hope you find some comfort here.
